I recently consulted Dr Owen for the first time. I was immediately put at ease by his calm and caring demeanour. Dr Owen is really patient and communicate with elderly really well. My mother feels comfortable seeing him and let him did the cataract surgery. I first consulted Dr. Owen a few years ago after experiencing a sudden increase in floaters. From our very first appointment, it was clear that Dr. Owen is not only passionate about his profession, but also deeply committed to the well-being of his patients.

Last year, I was diagnosed with cataracts. Dr. Owen patiently explained the condition in detail—how cataracts form, the progression over time, and the available treatment options. It was during these discussions that I was introduced to the concept of intraocular lens (IOL) implants.

What truly set Dr. Owen apart was the time he took to understand my lifestyle, particularly my passion for photography and astronomy imaging. He recognized how important clear, precise vision is to me and made it his goal to ensure that any treatment would have minimal impact on these activities.

At the time, he noted that my cataracts were still in the early stages and encouraged me to take the next 12 months to learn about the latest IOL technologies, which are advancing rapidly. When I returned for a follow-up consultation a few months ago, Dr. Owen was excited to introduce a new IOL option: the RayOne Galaxy trifocal lens. This lens offers excellent correction for distance, intermediate, and near vision—including astigmatism—and has been a perfect fit for my needs.
